Values

Gospel Centrality

Jesus Christ is the Head of the church. His gospel is unchanging, transformational, and true. The church is centered on Christ. Every word that is spoken, praise lifted, and service carried out solely derives from the word of the cross.
(Jhn 3:16, Jhn 14:6, Luk 24:44-29, Rom 6:23, 1 Cor 15:1-4)

Spirit Driven

Jesus promised His church the bestowal of the Holy Spirit. Every follower of Christ has the Spirit of God within them. Therefore, the church aims to stay in cadence with His guidance.
(Jhn 16:13, Act 1:8, Gal 5:16, Gal 5:25, 1 Jhn 4:13)

Authority of the Scriptures

The Holy Bible is living and the inspired word of the Lord. Every narrative, prophecy, teaching, wisdom, and story is accurate and sufficient. On these teachings will the church be grounded.
(Jos 1:8, Psm 19:7-11, Mat 4:4, Rom 15:4, 2 Tim 3:16, Heb 4:12-14)

Worship

The ultimate passion for every believer is to worship the Almighty God. These praises belong to God and God alone. Nothing takes higher priority.
(Exo 20:3, Deu 6:4-9, Psm 95:6, Mat 22:37, Jhn 4:24, Heb 13:5)

Biblical Community

Biblical community consists of a gathering of believers who glorify the Lord. It involves bearing one another’s burdens, having fellowship, and locking arms together locally and universally.
(Jhn 13:34-35, Act 2:42, 1 Cor 14:26, Gal 6:2, Heb 10:24-25)

Evangelism

North Hill understands Christ’s commissioning for His body to go out and share the gospel. This command is a joy for the church and essential to seeing lives changed.
(Mat 9:36-38, Mat 28:19-20, Mrk 16:15, Act 1:8, Rom 10:17,
1 Pet 3:15)

Service

North Hill desires to be a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. We aim to carry out the works God has called us to and bring Him glory. As Christ showed compassion with action, we too want to replicate Him and be His hands and feet.
(Mat 5:15-16, Mrk 10:45, 1 Pet 4:10, Eph 6:7, Rom 12:1)

Discipleship

The development of the church begins with the teachings of Jesus. They are not only to be shared to vast crowds, but through intentional relationships made through Christ replicated discipleship.
(Mat 28:19-20, Luk 14:27, Jhn 8:31, Eph 4:11-17, Eph 5:1-2)
